From employee to mommy-to-be...

Career-girl Kristen Lewis is at the top of her field. She's driven, sensible--and her spur-of-the-moment decision to have one perfect night with sexy Nate was totally out of character! She puts it behind her...until she's faced with two shocks: she's pregnant...with her boss's baby!

Nathan Boyd, one of Australia's leading entrepreneurs, buries himself in his work to forget his private torment. But now he's faced with a dilemma: the first woman to tempt him in a long time is his employee.

About the Author

For Nicola, writing has always been a passion, starting at the age of eight when she designed and scripted elaborate "Abba" and "Grease" concerts for family and friends. Being a voracious reader, she devoured every book she came across: her particular favorites included The Famous Five, The Secret Seven, Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys and the Trixie Belden series. Her all-time favorite book was Enid Blyton's The Magic Faraway Tree; oh, how she wished for her very own tree with a different land at the top every day!

In her teens, a love of English literature led to dreams of being a journalist. However, her career choice wandered towards medicine before a work experience stint at a hospital led her in a different direction, and she later qualified as a physiotherapist. While studying for her physiotherapy degree, she had several part-time jobs where she worked as a waitress, an admin clerk in an office, an art department gopher and a sales assistant in a hardware shop — situations rich in life experience!

Once she started her career as a physiotherapist, she dabbled in sports medicine, private practice, community health and vocational rehabilitation before finding her true calling in life — to be a romance author.

And she's rapt! How many people can say they work in their dream job? She certainly can and loves every minute of it, happiest when she's tapping away at the keyboard, getting her stories across to the readers.

She first started writing after she met her own tall, dark and handsome hero and learned, at last, that romance is everything it's cracked up to be! Once she put pen to paper, she couldn't stop and completed eight novels in two years. Several more works are now in progress.

Her secret? Write…write…and write some more! And believe in yourself and follow the dream.
